Frida kahlo artwork Inspired makeup

Frida kahlo was an artist from Mexico who was best known for her colourful portrait paintings. Frida said herself that “i paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.

Me and Hannah wanted the look To be as colourful as possible, for this piece we used a mixture of both water based paints and oil based paints. We started with the eyes with a bright yellow shadow to make the blue in my eyes stand ou, we then decided to use a mixture of colours on my face to make the look pop, so we selected a small range of colours that blend tog nicel, those colours being purple, pink, blue and green. we applied those using a sponge and just blending them into each other to give an ombré effect.

The headpiece and veil were also hand made by myself and Hannah.
